Health and Safety

Our policy document applies to all employees, contractors, sub-contractors and visitors to McArdle Skeath, Callanberg, Inniskeen, Dundalk, Co Louth and Hollywoodrath, Hollystown, Dublin 15. For any policy to be effective it must be applied throughout the company, this policy applies to all staff regardless of position or seniority.

 

It is the company’s intention to manage all aspects of the building and sites in such a way as to provide a safe working environment for its employees, customers, visitors and contractors.

 

McArdle Skeath wishes it to be known that it has a positive attitude towards the Safety Health and Welfare of all its employees. It recognises that it has a “duty of care” and its objective is to provide as safe a place of work as far as is reasonably practicable.

 

McArdle Skeath acknowledges that it has an obligation to observe the statutory requirements of the various acts and regulations appertaining to Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.

 

While it is the company’s responsibility to provide a safe working environment for its employees, there is also a responsibility upon all clients and their employees to observe safe working practices and full co-operation would be expected from them in this regard. It is a policy of McArdle Skeath to protect so far as reasonably practical, persons not employed with this company but may be affected by our activities.

 

Our intention is to consult with all interested parties on matters of Health and Safety. Employee’s customers and visitors are hereby notified of McArdle Skeath policy and are encouraged to comply with their duties under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.

 

The allocation of duties for safety matters and in particular arrangements to implement the policy are set out in McArdle Skeath safety statement a full copy of which is available on request from the management.

 

The policy will be kept up to date and to ensure this, the policy and the way it in which it operates will be reviewed as required.
